Our Time in Port Douglas

We spent 5 days in Port Douglas and on our first day we walked the whole of four mile beach, it took us a couple of hours to walk one way and rested before we walked back. We the took a look around the town which consisted of one main street and a marina complex.

Our opinion Port Douglas is high end holiday centre for all the well off people to come for a week vacation either in holiday complexes or in their huge yachts. There is a very good range of shops, coffee shops, and resturants to keep you interested, the best one that we found was the Tapas bar on the marina. Port Douglas is a gateway to the great barrier Reef, with quality being the overriding theme to the tours, and is a central place for visits/tours to Mossman and Daintree.
Watersports

There is a wide range of watersports on hand, ranging from kite surfing, sailing and kayaking  etc.

For restaurants you need to look around for who has the deals on for that day 241 offers which help the budget go a bit further. We found a great restaurant that was reasonable prices and a great place to watch the sun setting!!! 3nineteen.....

Overall a fun place to be whether you are into water sports, sight seeing or just relaxing with a book on the beach.
